Background Check Policy and Disclaimer

NorCal YSA is the premier flag football program in Northern California, serving the neighborhoods of the Greater Sacramento Region, and actively welcome new players, both boys and girls. At NorCal Youth Sports Association, we are committed to providing a safe and positive sports experience for all participants. Part of our dedication to our community is screening for coaches who might present a threat or do harm to children. NorCal YSA performs national and local criminal background checks on all volunteer coaches and reserves the right to exclude coaches from participation based on the criteria listed herein.

Individuals interested in participating as a coach for NorCal YSA or any event and season affiliated with NorCal YSA must submit, complete, and clear a criminal background check. The background check must be completed before any engagement with players, parents or associated matters.
The background check will be conducted via an independent third-party service, and we do not store any of your personal identifying information.
